The thing about natural disasters and emergencies is that you can never predict when they are going to strike. Whatever type of emergency you are affected by, you can greatly improve your chances of survival by having the right equipment and supplies available.
Few people have the right supplies to aid survival, and that’s why you need to consider a survival kit. Survival kits like this PrepPac are designed to keep 2 people alive for up to three days while waiting to be rescued.
This survival pack is in a plain looking small backpack with padded straps. This makes transporting it very easy. It can be hidden out of sight in your home so you can find it when needed. Or, alternatively it can be put into the trunk or on the back seat of your car whenever you are going out into the wilderness. The kit includes almost everything that you could need to keep you and a loved one safe in any traumatic emergency.
Who should Buy this Pack?
Table of Contents
This survival pack is ideally suited to anyone who wants to prepare for an emergency. It can be put onto the back seat of the car or stored at home. As it’s so small and well packed it takes up so little space that everyone will have room for one, no matter how well packed your car is.
Hand Powered Charger, Light and Radio
We all take electricity for granted because we use it every day. However, if a hurricane, earthquake or other disaster affects your area then you can very quickly find yourself without power. The same problem affects you if you are stuck in the middle of nowhere with a flat cell phone battery. Well this survival kit has the perfect answer, a wind up charger, light and radio. This beauty never needs any batteries and can be used to charge most mobile phones by simply cranking the handle. Once there is some juice in your phone you can then make a call.
The other supplies in this kit are just as impressive. It meets all the Red Cross international and FEMA guidelines so that you don’t have to collect supplies together to build your own kit. This will have almost everything you could possibly want including a first aid kit, blankets and enough food and drink for 2 people to survive for 3 days. The food and drink has a life of 5 years, so you don’t need to worry about continually changing.
Space to Add More Things
Although this kit comes with pretty much everything you could possibly want, there is still a fair amount of space. This makes it possible to add anything extra that you might want. If you are on special medications for example you could store some of these in your survival pack so that you always have a three day supply available in case you can’t get to the pharmacy for any reason. There are also pockets on the side of the bag which can be used just like a regular backpack.
As the bag is fully waterproof it is also a great place to store a spare change of clothes. Clothes can be stored on top of the bag as several reviewers, including Paul B in 2013 have pointed out. There’s so much extra space available that you can fit a whole change of clothes for two people which is very useful when you are exploring the great outdoors.

Features and Specifications
Waterproof Bag – The bag itself is made to a very high standard and features waterproof material to keep all of your supplies and any clothing completely dry. The bag is also comfortable to carry thanks to the padded shoulder straps.
Electrical – A wind up phone charger is included with several different connectors which are suitable for most phones. Check it fits yours though. The same charger can be used as a light or a radio.
First Aid Kit – The included first aid kit will include most things you would need. This includes plasters, sterilising wipes, gloves and alcohol pads. There is also extra space to add additional first aid equipment that you might need, including any personal medication.
Food and Drink – The kit includes 2 2400 calorie energy bars and 12 pouches of water which is enough to keep two people fed and hydrated for three days. Might not sound like much, but calorie wise it is all your body needs. Additional food can be added in the extra space of the bag, just make sure you check the shelf life. The included food and drink lasts for 5 years.
Warmth – The kit has two ponchos to protect you from the elements and 2 solar blankets to keep you as warm as possible without heating.
The best item included in the safety pack is the wind up cell phone charger. This should make it easier to raise the alarm in case you are stuck anywhere without any power in your phone.
At the time of writing the PrepPac has been reviewed by nine people and it has an average score of 4.7 out of a maximum possible of 5 stars which means it’s a fantastic and very popular product.
Douglas Ison (2013) commented that the design and colors of the bag were perfect as they wouldn’t show dirt like some other lighter colored survival kits. He also praised the mobile phone charger which has a loud siren to repel wild animals and zombies!
Paul B (2013) liked how good value the kit was to buy as this includes everything FEMA and the Red Cross recommend to make a survival kit. He also appreciated the extra space in the bag which made it possible to add additional supplies.
James McMillan (2013) bought two of these PrepPack survival kits for him and his wife to store in their cars. He comments that the kit includes everything you might need, but that there is additional space to add extra bandages as required. He also seems fond of the wind up charger and flashlight.
Almost all the reviews are four stars, the worst review is 3 stars which is still pretty good. It seems that this person is concerned by the value for money because there is a lot of empty space left in the bag and not filled with anything. The reason for this is so that you can choose your own supplies and put them into the bag yourself. Other people have praised the extra space which can be used for additional supplies or clothing. They have also mentioned what great value this kit is.
